Your vet can protect your dog from many serious diseases by
vaccinating them. Dog vaccinations begin as puppies and continue through into adult dog vacinations.
Your puppy can get really sick if he/she is not vaccinated. In fact
some of these diseases can be fatal. It is important that you talk to your veterinarian about what you puppy
needs.
The vaccines that protect against these diseases are
called core vaccines. Your shar pei puppy should receive vaccinations at anywhere from six to eight weeks and
receive booster shots until about four months of age. Rabies is given once at around three months and then a
booster is given once a year.
Your puppy will then receive his/her vacination on a regular basis
determined by your vet. This is usually on a yearly basis.

humans. Rabies is deadly.
